The American Academy of Dermatology reports that at least 80 percent of women have cellulite. Currently more than 45 million women in the U.S. between the ages of 20 and 50 suffer from this condition and many seek treatment.

Cellulite is a deposit of fat that causes a dimple or other uneven appearance of the skin on women, typically around the hips, thighs and buttocks. These concentrated fat cells leave a rippling effect on the skin, which is often compared to an orange peel.

This condition is far more common in women than men due to the way fat, muscle and connective tissues are distributed in women’s skin. It is typically most pronounced around the thighs, hips and buttocks of women. You do not need to be overweight or a certain age to have cellulite. Even very young and very thin women are affected.

What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite develops in the body when fat is deposited immediately below the dermis and contained in fat chambers that can become swollen. As the fat cells grow in size, surrounding tissue becomes compressed and hardened, making blood circulation more difficult and trapping fluids. This causes reduced elasticity of the adipose tissue, producing an undesirable tension between the layers. The resulting depression of connective tissue anchor points creates the appearance of cellulite.

TriActive LaserDermology For Temporary Reduction In The Appearance Of Cellulite

TriActive systems, originally developed by laser scientists in Italy, are in use all over the world. TriActive LaserDermology is the result of the newest technology for restoring a normal balance to the skin and outer layers, including smoothing and tightening. Physicians, spas, and other health specialists have used this innovative technology on thousands of individuals to uncover glowing skin.

With just a series of procedures, TriActive LaserDermology may enhance the appearance of skin, making it feel smoother and more radiant. TriActive provides a clinical answer to the treatment of cellulite as well as the reduction of fatty deposits. It also plays a key role in the recovery of Cool Lipo or any other form of liposuction.

In addition to temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite, TriActive treatments have been shown to temporarily relieve minor pain and muscle spasms.

How Does TriActive LaserDermology Work?

The LaserDermology procedure done with the TriActive system provides a deep therapeutic massaging action to the tissue below your skin may result in a tighter appearance in the treated areas.

What Parts Of The Body Can Be Treated?

Besides the thighs and buttocks for cellulite, most other parts of the body can be treated as well: the face for tightening the love handles, tummy, upper arms and neck. This procedure provides noticeable result before and after liposuction and after aesthetic surgery, such as breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and others.

Is LaserDermology Painful?

The LaserDermology procedure is not painful and not even as strenuous as a traditional massage. Most individuals report that LaserDermology just “feels great!””

How Long Does The LaserDermology Procedure Take?

The LaserDermology procedure is typically done in a series of about 10 to 15 treatments to a given area. These can be spaced as closely as three times per week, or as far out as once per week.

How Soon Will I Notice Results From The LaserDermology Treatments?

Your individual results can depend on several factors:

  • The area(s) being treated
  • Whether the treatment is being combined with a liposuction procedure
  • If you have combined treatment with diet and/or exercise
  • Your age and general condition
  • The number of treatments

How Often Can I Have A Complete Series Of LaserDermology Treatments?

Normally, the series can be done annually with follow-up monthly maintenance treatments. If you have experienced weight reduction, a change in your body fat composition (and need additional tightening) or are having other areas of your body treated, you may want to consider a mini-series of treatments.

How Can LaserDermology Complement My Liposuction Procedure?

Because liposuction is a surgical procedure, normal side effects include fluid retention (edema) and slackening of the skin. LaserDermology treatment is recommended after surgery to accelerate the tightening of the area. Treatment prior to surgery may also have added benefits. Consult with your surgeon to see what is right for you.
