Hair Loss Laser Therapy

Dr. Calderon is leading the charge to combat hair loss and has good news for people who suffer from hair loss or thinning hair! Our hair loss therapy program is scientifically based, multi-therapeutic, and all natural and delivers results.

Our cosmetic laser, which is low-level light therapy, is a proven solution for stopping hair loss. Although laser hair therapy has been tested for effectiveness and safety for over 30 years all around the world, several medical devices have now cleared the U.S. FDA.
This cosmetic laser stimulates hair follicles while strengthening and thickening the surrounding hair. Hair, which has been exposed to chemicals, blow-drying, bad products, extensions, or pulling can benefit from this program. We also help patients with individual concerns such as hair loss from thyroid problems, chemotherapy, radiation, weight loss, stress, hormonal problems, alopecia, aging, genetics, and more.

Cosmetic Laser Hair Therapy at Elite MedSpa uses a cool laser with the most diodes directly over the scalp. At this time, we have more diodes than anyone in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This enables us to get results our patients can rely on.

Each treatment session lasts less than an hour. Our patients say that it’s pain free and easy. Results from the laser hair therapy usually start showing within four months or earlier as long as the patient attends every laser appointment, which usually consists of visits three times a week.

Our treatment program includes a customized multi-therapeutic regimen to yield each patient maximum results. We get the best results by combining the cosmetic laser therapy with high quality products for good scalp hygiene, hair nutrition, DHT blockers and growth activators. DHT stands for dihydrotestosterone, which causes most hair loss – by shortening the hair’s growth phase as well as the resting phase causing the hair to shrink and fall out of the scalp.

Our cosmetic laser has no reported side effects, making it safe for patients eager to get their hair back.

The initial consultation consists of taking close up and enlarged pictures of the hair follicles in the scalp. We are able to enlarge the follicle image by 50 to 200 times. We discuss the problems involved with each patient’s hair loss and recommend a treatment plan that will resolve the hair loss and allow for new healthy hair to grow.

A laser produces light measured at a wavelength of nanometers typical between 638.2 nM and 670 nM–a pure wavelength at the peak of red light in the visible light spectrum. Laser Hair Therapy light provides the essential boost of pure red light at precisely the right frequency to revitalize and repair hair, yet it utilizes a soft laser that uses less energy than a 40-watt light bulb. Our Hair Therapy Laser has been measured by a certified laser technician to be 4.9 mw. Generally, the more laser diodes a person is sitting under during each laser treatment, the better the results.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have not evaluated our laser treatment program and our laser is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or illness.

The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for the medical laser device, the HairMax LaserCombs is now clinically proven to promote hair growth in males with androgenetic alopecia (Norwood IIA to V with Fitzpatrick skin types I to IV). To view FDA's public record of this clearance visit The only FDA cleared hair loss laser for women is the MEP-90 see its clearance at The FDA's approves drugs such as Minoxidil and gives clearance for devices such as the Hair Max Laser Comb, and we sell programs that include both those products and other FDA approved drugs in our programs. Although proven in 140+ clinics worldwide none of our programs are themselves approved by the FDA (do to the high cost to do it) only the individual items within those programs maybe. Should you find a mistake on this site or elsewhere where it refers to a program with a hair therapy laser or that a laser was approved by the FDA it is in error and should read the hair therapy laser does not have FDA Clearance and is not approved. The only version of Minoxidil approved by the FDA to grow hair is Rogaine and its exact generic equivalents. HLCC sells both exact generic equivalents and most often other formulas not tested by the FDA for hair growth. We have found these products to be effective in our clinics.
